Lead Discovery Premium: How to access sample data functions in ChemCharts 3.2 and higher

Problem:

User cannot access sample data functions that are provided by Lead Discovery ChemCharts 3.2.

From the Visualization types flyout, user has selected Lead Discovery Chem Charts > Data functions. The following page is displayed with notification "No data to display".

Resolution:

First, check the value of preference ScriptSync.ScriptSyncPreferences.Repositories using the steps below.

  1. Start Spotfire Analyst then from the menu bar select Help > Support Diagnostics and Logging

  2. In the Support Diagnostics and Logging dialog, click on Copy Info.

  3. Paste to notepad and search for string "ScriptSync.ScriptSyncPreferences.Repositories"

  4. Examine the value and follow the instructions below.

• Value is empty: Additional configurations are required. See steps below (Configuring ScriptSync.)
• Value is populated: Contact Revvity Signals Support to diagnose issue.

Additional configurations (Configuring ScriptSync)

  1. Start Spotfire Analyst and login as admin user.

  2. Open the Administration manager and move to Preference tab.

  3. From the list of user groups, select the group that will access the sample data functions.

  4. Edit the value of Repositories preference (ScriptSync > ScriptSyncPreferences > Repositories)

  5. The following dialog is displayed. Click the plus sign to open the Add Repository dialog.

6. Add the following repository settings in the Add Repository dialog.

This configuration will enable network access to two public Github repository to retrieve sample data functions for LDP. The copy of data functions will be stored in each of user's Windows temporary folder.
