Details: As a user I'd like to create a container type that could hold other containers inside, for example a box container inside a freezer location, but I am not able to.
Solution: In Signals Notebook 'Containers' can only hold 'Materials'. You can’t create a 'Container' to hold other containers. You can create 'Location' (SubLocation) inside another 'Location' and then place containers inside it: Location (e.g. Freezer) > SubLocation (e.g. Box) > Container.
You can create a custom 'Box' location by following these steps:
1. Log into Signals Notebook as an administrator
2. Navigate to 'System Configuration' > 'Inventory'
3. Expand 'Locations' > 'Types'
4. Click 'Location Type'
5. In the 'Create Location Type' page:
a. Fill up the needed information (Names can’t be duplicated)
b. If you want a 'Grid' box in the 'Add property…' field, select 'Grid Layout'
c. Click 'Create Type'
