Question from User:
If I have a commercial chemical with a CAS number do I have to create it as a reagent in Signals to pull the information from PubChem into Signals experiment?
In Signals Reagents libraries support pulling data from PubChem when mapped in the Materials Library. In the way to activate Reagents, please, read the article in the Signals Admin Guide:
Materials >Configuring Reagents (SNB)
Sequently:
- Activate Import from PubChem
- Map fields with Stoichiometry table fields. Make sure custom fields have a compatible field types. Otherwise fields cannot be mapped
- Once the configuration is completed, as User, create a reagent by filling in either a CAS number or Chemical Structure and other mandatory fields.
- Click 'Update from PubChem' button when the reagent is created. As Results values from PubChem will be pulled.
- Find created reagent by entering the reagent name in the 'Quick Add' field of 'ChemDraw Document' and add it in Stoichiometry table. As Result all mapped fields will be populated in the table
