Keywords: Analysis window, not visible, multiple monitors
Please do not use this process unless you are having the issue described after following the process to show or hide the analysis window and reinstalling the software. It is recommended to backup your Windows Registry before making any changes. Do not edit the Windows registry unless you are confident in doing so. You will need admin rights on your computer to perform these steps.
Details:
If the Analysis Window in ChemDraw is not visible on any of your screens, you can try resetting its position by following these steps:
1. Right-click on the ChemDraw icon in the taskbar and select "Close window" to close the application.
2. Press the "Windows key" + "R" to open the Run dialog box.
3. Type "regedit" and click "OK" to open the Registry Editor.
4. Navigate to the following registry key and locate the folder with your version of ChemDraw (i.e. 19.0, 20.0, 21.0):
"HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\PerkinElmerInformatics\ChemDraw\"
5. Right-click on the version number folder and select "Export" to save a backup of the registry key.
6. After saving the backup, delete the folder with the version number by right-clicking on it and selecting "Delete".
7. Close the Registry Editor and Restart ChemDraw.
When you restart ChemDraw it will recreate the folder in the registry with the default settings, which should reset the position of the Analysis Window.
If the issue persists, try disconnecting the second monitor and restarting ChemDraw to see if the Analysis Window appears on your primary monitor.
Once you've repositioned the Analysis Window to a visible location on the primary monitor, you can reconnect the second monitor and use ChemDraw normally.
