Can Material IDs be renamed in Signals Notebook?

Currently the tool is designed in such a way where we cannot edit/change an existing Material ID (Here Material IDs act as primary key and once set cannot be modified). Hence Ids which are generated while adding new material to the system will be treated as unique and cannot be manually changed or removed.
