Spotfire: Add lines & curves to a visualization from the Properties window

Prior to this task:

✓ Visualization must be added.

1️⃣ Active visualization ➡ hover over and select  [Properties]
2️⃣ Properties window ➡ select Lines & Curves
3️⃣ Lines & Curves options ➡ select [Add] ➡ select line/curve of interest
4️⃣ Line/Curve window ➡ define settings accordingly
5️⃣ Line/Curve window ➡ Line/Curve name ➡ select Custom ➡ type new name
6️⃣ Line/Curve window ➡ select [OK]
7️⃣ Properties window ➡ select [Close]

Note: For more information about available lines and curves, see Curve Fit Models.

There are certain requirements for all models available, since not all types of data can be employed to add curves. Therefore, the user must ensure that:

• There is more than one data point to use in the calculation of the line/curve.
• Data points do not all have the same X- and Y-values.

Note: If the above requirements are not met, no curve will be created and a [notification] will be displayed on the title of the visualization.
