Supporting Knowledge
Depending on the field type selected, the Admin needs to configure a few other settings:
- Decide if the value must be cleared when element is copy-pasted.
- Decide whether to enable Lock the field after the value is entered, which will prevent the user from modifying the original value unless they provide an acceptable reason.
- Decide whether to enable Prevent signing the experiment if this field is empty.
- If the field type is a number, a number with a unit, an integer, or a date/time, the Admin can define conditions to allow only numbers or dates that belong to a certain range.
- The Admin can define that the value is accepted, but the user will see a warning if the value is out of range or the value cannot be entered.
The maximum number of fields in a Worksheet template for any single Worksheet template is 500 properties.
Any instructional text with the preferred format can be added here to define the structure of the Worksheet. A few recommendations:
- Design the worksheet with a clear layout using titles in bold letters.
- Insert a table to facilitate data entry.
- Keep in mind that instructional text cannot be modified by the end user; this will be a fixed layout in experiments.
Optionally, to avoid disruptive formatting errors when copy-pasting content from websites or other third-party sources, users can select the [Clear formatting] option from the text toolbar.
