Signals Notebook: Lock a field(s) of a Worksheet template from the Signals Configuration

For Administrators only.

Prior to this task:

✔ Worksheet template must be created.

✔ Field(s) must be inserted in a Worksheet template.

*Required.

1️⃣ Signals Configuration ➡ select  [Worksheet Templates]
2️⃣ Worksheet Templates ➡ select worksheet template
3️⃣ Worksheet template editor ➡ select field to lock
4️⃣ Update Form Field window ➡ select Lock field after value has been entered 5️⃣ Update Form Field window ➡ select  [Update]
6️⃣ Worksheet template editor ➡ select [Home Page]
7️⃣ Signals Configuration ➡ select  [System Settings]
8️⃣ System Settings pane ➡ select Other ➡ select Field Locking
9️⃣ Predefined Worksheet Reasons section ➡ enter reason 🔟 Predefined Worksheet Reasons section ➡ select  [Save Settings]

Note: Locked field values can be changed by users; however, when changing the value, users must enter a reason in “Predefined Reasons for Changing Locked Fields.”

Embedded tables in Worksheets can be set to lock once edited. The Lock field after value has been entered setting is available on Table type properties when defining the Worksheet. When selected, a table will become locked to further editing once it contains data and the user has stopped editing it. In order to make further edits, the user must unlock the table, and those edits are not saved until the user completes the Reason For Change workflow.
