Medidata Rave: Invalid protocol specified in URL, invalid user name or password, or the user is locked out.

Problem:

The following error message is displayed when opening a DXP file that contains Connector for Medidata Rave data source even when the URL and the credential of Rave service is correct. The user is no longer able to open the DXP.

Invalid protocol specified in URL, invalid user name or password, or the user is locked out.

Resolution:

The error message is displayed when the study that is referenced by Connector for Medidata Rave has been deleted from Rave. In order to open such DXP, you need to download the DXP from the library to the local desktop and then open the DXP in Spotfire that has been started in off-line mode.
