Prior to this task:
✔ Spotfire for Signals item must be added and opened from an experiment.
✔ Data file(s) must be added to an experiment.
✔ Data Import app must be opened.
✔ An import file format must be available.

Supporting Knowledge
Note: Once the user has edited the table name and imported the data, they will not be able to change the table name again.
Note: The user can go back to a previous section to modify settings by going to the Data Import – Analysis tab and selecting the [Previous] button.
*For Features, Annotations, and Experiment properties addition, select the [Click to add] option. From the Features/Annotations/Experiment properties window, under Available items, select column(s), select
[Add items], then select
[Save].
Note: Multiple features and annotations can be selected simultaneously.
Optionally, from the Instrument files, Features, Annotations, and Experiment properties windows, the user can mark or unmark all items by selecting the [Mark All] or
[Unmark All] buttons, respectively. Also, the user can add all, remove individual items, or remove all items by selecting the
[Add all],
[Remove items], or
[Remove all] buttons, respectively.
Optionally, Experiment properties can be added as a separate table or as columns to the imported table by selecting/deselecting the [Add properties as separate table] toggle.
Optionally, from the Data Import – Analysis tab, under the Configure data area, the user can mark data to select wells and mark points in the analysis for exclusion or inclusion by selecting the [Exclusion] and
[Inclusion] buttons, respectively. To reset the points that have been excluded or included, select the
[Reset] button.
Optionally, from the Visualization tab, the user can use the available toggles for further modifications. From the Data Import – Analysis tab, select [Visualization]. From the Data Import – Visualization tab, under Visualization settings, the Selected Feature label toggle will be turned on by default. This option enables the user to select the feature’s value and will be displayed as a label in the Plate layout scatter plot. This can be turned off by selecting the
[Selected Feature label] toggle.
Additionally, from the Data Import – Visualization tab, under Show Filter panel, the user can turn on the Filters panel by selecting the [Filter Panel] toggle. This option enables the user to filter out data for further exploration. The selected filters will be applied to the Plate layout visualizations. Select the
[reset filters] button to reset all the active filtering.
Optionally, from the Configuration tab, the user can modify the formatting of the selected features. From the Data Import – Analysis tab, select [Configuration]. From the Data Import – Configuration tab, under Features format and Decimals, select the options to define the numeric formatting of the selected features.
Note: Preferences to be loaded from Signals Notebook can be selected and remembered by the Workflow.
