Signals VitroVivo: Configure the settings of the Editable Data Grid app to insert data from the clipboard as a new table

Prior to this task:

✔ Editable Data Grid app must be opened.

1️⃣ Grid area ➡ select cell(s) ➡ enter/copy-paste data value(s)
2️⃣ Editable Data Grid tab ➡ select Save data as: New table New table name ➡ type new name 3️⃣ Editable Data Grid tab ➡ select  [Apply]

Note: When a very large file is pasted into the Editable Data Grid, the app may freeze; this can be avoided by using the [Load file…] option.

Alternatively, from the Editable Data Grid tab, under Save data as, the user can save the data as New columns, as well as Replace columns, Replace column values, or Replace selected table contents. Depending on the option selected, the user will be prompted to select settings accordingly.

Optionally, to clear the information from the Grid area, select the  [Reset grid] button.

Optionally, from the Configuration tab, the user can modify the join type when connecting tables. From the Editable Data Grid tab, select  [Configuration]. From the Editable Data Grid – Configuration tab, under Select join type when joining the tables, select a join option. The Left Single Match Join option executes the join of the rows from original data only, single match from new. The Left Outer Join option performs the join of the rows from original data only.

Additionally, from the Editable Data Grid – Configuration tab, the user can turn on the Filters panel by selecting the [Filter Panel] toggle. This option enables the user to filter out data to perform further exploration. Filters selected will be applied to the data in the Grid. Select the  [reset filters] button to reset all the active filtering.
