Product:TIBCO Statistica
Versions:13.4 and higher
Summary:
This article describes the licensing required in order to use Statistica with Spotfire.
Details:
TIBCO Statistica can be integrated with TIBCO Spotfire as an extension. In this article, we will cover the two possible scenarios for this and how it affects the licensing.
Resolution:
Integrating TIBCO Statistica with TIBCO Spotfire is possible with our “Statistica Extension” that is available to download with the Spotfire Server.
Scenario 1
With your Spotfire license, you are able to use the .sdm file (Statistica workspace) and execute it as Spotfire Data Function after you have installed the Statistica Extension. The “Statistica Extension” has no licensing and/or limitations on what analytics can be executed.
This means that Spotfire Analyst user can execute Statistica’s workspaces with or without Statistica being installed locally.
Scenario 2
If you would like to create and/or edit Statistica workspace, that can later be used as a data function, this would require installing Statistica locally and a valid Statistica license.
