Supporting Knowledge
- The internal data source should be mapped to fields from other entities within Signals Notebook. Select the source to specify the entity. The supported entities are: Materials, Samples, Experiments, ADOs, Tasks, Requests, Parallel Experiments, Notebooks, Inventory Containers, and Inventory Locations.
- Once the source is selected, a Field dropdown list gets added, displaying all the fields of the selected data type. For particular sources like Materials where multiple libraries are available, the admin must select the library type prior to selecting the field. For Experiments, the admin must select the experiment template prior to selecting the field. For Notebooks, since there is a single notebook template, the mapping occurs between the IDS and the fields added to the Default_Notebook template.
- The admin can add more entity fields to the same internal field by selecting the plus sign within the Signals Notebook Entity Properties box.
