Signals Notebook: Add a new monomer to a custom HELM Monomer library in the HELM Monomer Curation App

For Administrators only.

Prior to this task:

✔ Custom HELM Monomer library must be created and activated.

*Required.

1️⃣ HELM Monomer Curation ➡ select  [Add New] ➡ select Monomer...
2️⃣ Add New Monomer ➡ select ChemDraw Editor ➡ draw monomer
3️⃣ Add New Monomer ➡ select/type Library* Symbol* Name* Polymer Type* Monomer Type* Natural analog*
4️⃣ Add New Monomer ➡ select  [Create]

Supporting Knowledge

Notes:

• If the structure drawn contains capping groups, these are displayed at the end of the Add New Monomer page, once the Polymer type, Monomer type, and Natural analog values are specified.
• Selecting Blob as the Polymer Type disables the ChemDraw Editor.
• Custom monomers added to a monomer library can be used in the ChemDraw JS HELM Editor when drawing biopolymer sequences.
