Problem: After uploading a dataset into SImA, and confirming via the SImA Job Status page that the upload was completed successfully, the data does not appear under my users primary navigation data tree.
Cause: The data may have been uploaded into another users Screen.
SImA allows users to upload data into Screens which are owned by any user who is a member of the same group. (You can find additional information regarding role and permission specific actions here). If two users happen to have existing Screens whose names are similar (or identical), it may not be possible to make a distinction between them when selecting the target Screen during upload, hence users may inadvertently upload their data into a Screen owned by another user.
To confirm that the dataset was imported into another users screen, visit the SImA Job Status page and expand the upload job so that the target Screen, Plate and Measurement are displayed. Make a note of the Screen name.
Next, visit the Browse view, then select All from the Primary Navigation data tree user drop-down selector.
Next, locate the target Screen (e.g. "Harmony Transfers" as shown in the example above) within the list of all Screens, then expand the Screen and check for the presence of the uploaded dataset.
(Note, the folder colour signifies data ownership, as described here).
Workaround: If the dataset has been inadvertently uploaded into the wrong screen, it can be moved to the desired target Screen by right-clicking on the Plate level folder in the primary data tree, then selecting "Move..." from the context menu.
It may be useful to give the target Screen a unique name before attempting to move existing datasets (or upload new datasets) into it, so that it can be easily distinguished from other similarly named Screens.
