Resetting the material library sync is one of the first steps in triaging an issue with the sync or assets/batches from SNB not appearing inside Inventa. Please note that there are steps required on BOTH the SNB and SDF interfaces.
1. From SNConfig > Materials > Material Activation uncheck the active Inventa Sync
a. Confirm deactivation on the popup window
b. Enable the Inventa Sync checkbox for the same library
c. Confirm activation in the popup window
d. Refresh the page, you should see a " # succeeded "
2. From SNConfig > Inventa > Projects select any project whether the Material Sync is active
a. You can confirm there's a Sync because the "Sync" table within a project will have a count of the active syncs, e.g.: Sync (1)
b. Select the Sync tab by clicking on it
c. Choose the arrow next to the 'Select Sync' dropdown and select "Disconnect sync'
d. Confirm disconnect in the popup window
e. Click the 'Select Sync' button
f. In the selection popup window, click on the sync where the status = Started. It's usually the first one in the list. It will highlight in blue when selected. Then click Select Sync.
g. Select the <click to map> option in the table, which will open a mapping page.
h. Use an existing map or create a new map. You should make sure to map both a Compound ID and a Batch ID. This is done by selecting an field on the left (e.g.: "assetID" or "batchID") then clicking the corresponding Asset or Batch ID on the right (click where it says 'Use as ID')
i. If you are mapping Compounds, be sure to also map the Chemical Structure (the default format 'cdxml' should be selected)
j. Optionally give the map a name
k. Select 'Update Bucket' which will return you to the Sync tab
l. Select the gear icon next to 'Schedule'. There will be a 'Configure Schedule' popup
m. Turn on the toggle for 'Process on a schedule'. You can use the default Every 15 minutes. Then select ' Update Process Schedule'
n. To immediately start indexing entities from the sync, select the "Process Now" button
o. Click on the 'Datasets' tab to return to the main project page
p. Select the dropdown caret next to 'Load'
q. Select Loadall (this may take some time depending on the volume of data)
r. Wait for the project to finish loading, then evaluate the sync using Inventa's Global Search
3. Repeat step 2 for every SDF Project that was connected to the sync
Important Notes:
- You must follow steps 1. and 2. to completely reset the Material Sync. Even if there doesn't look to be any notable errors in SNB or SDF, you should follow all steps listed above. Only doing half will not completely reset the sync and may lead to downstream errors (and confusion)
- If you have multiple SDF projects that are connected to the material sync, you must repeat Step 2 in it's entirety for each project.
