Signals Notebook: Edit a column of a Material Table from the Signals Configuration

For Administrators only.

*Required.

1️⃣ Signals Configuration ➡ select [Materials]
2️⃣ Material Types pane ➡ select Material library ➡ select Material Table
3️⃣ Material Table section ➡ Column ➡ edit Column Name* Hidden by Default Always Shown Clear value when element is copy-pasted
4️⃣ Material Table section ➡ select [Save]

Supporting Knowledge

• If users select Hidden by Default for a column, that column will be hidden when the user adds a materials table to an Experiment, but the user can unhide the column.
• If Always Shown is selected, the column will always be shown, and the user will be unable to hide the column.
• Columns can be reordered by holding the [three-line icon], allowing the user to drag and drop the column to the desired location.
• When a Material Table definition is modified, changes will not be reflected in existing Material Tables that have been added to Experiments; users must delete the existing table in the Experiment and add it again to see changes.
