Data Loading Settings:
- Always new data keeps the data up to date by pulling in the latest data from its source file every time the .dxp is opened. This option also helps to keep the analysis file size small. However, the data inside the .dxp file is dependent on the source file location to function correctly, so if a user lacks access to the corresponding source or it has moved, the .dxp loads as blank.
- Stored data handles the source file location issue by storing it inside the analysis, embedding data within the analysis file. This means data always remains the same and does not update automatically, even if the source changes. Also, the analysis file may also be larger in size since both the data and the analysis are stored in the same file.
- New data when possible is a mixture of the previous two settings. The original version of the data will be stored in the analysis, but if there is new data available in the source, Spotfire will automatically load it.
