Signals Inventa: Configure the settings of the Publish Measurements app to publish data to the Results index

Prior to this task:

✔ Project and Measurement Types must be set up.

✔ Publish Measurements app must be opened.

1️⃣ Publish Measurements panel ➡ Project ➡ select  [“project name”] Select Data Table to publish ➡ select  [“data table name”] Mapping name ➡ select  [<New Mapping>]/[“existing mapping name”] Select Measurement Type ➡ select  [“measurement type name”]
2️⃣ Publish Measurements panel ➡ select [Automap] Data Table Column ➡ define mapping manually (as needed)
3️⃣ Publish Measurements panel ➡ select  [Save Mapping]
4️⃣ Save Mapping window ➡ Mapping name ➡ type new name
5️⃣ Save Mapping window ➡ select  [Save]
6️⃣ Publish Measurements panel ➡ select  [Validate] ➡ select  [Publish]
7️⃣ Publish Data window ➡ select This is a new data set/This publication modifies an existing dataset
8️⃣ Publish Data window ➡ select  [Publish]

Notes:

• The Automap feature matches the Spotfire data table columns with the Inventa attributes based solely on their names; therefore, manual adjustments might be needed after automapping.
• Validation checks whether the types of data to be published (attribute types) are compatible with those expected by Signals Inventa. If they are incompatible, a summary is displayed, and the user is prompted to take action(s) to resolve the issues.
• When new datasets are created in a Signals Inventa Project, they can be deleted only through the Admin interface. When using the Publish Measurements app, the datasets can only be overwritten, not deleted.
• Caution: when selecting existing datasets, all data within the selected datasets will be overwritten with the currently published data.
