Signals Notebook: Define Materials User Roles from the Signals Configuration

For Administrators only.

Prior to this task:

✔ User Role must be available.

1️⃣ Signals Configuration ➡ select [User Roles]
2️⃣ User Roles ➡ select Materials
3️⃣ User Roles ➡ Materials tab ➡ select/deselect privileges for user roles

Supporting Knowledge

Materials privileges available:

• Manage Material Libraries: Allows user to activate, deactivate, configure, and edit the materials libraries.
• View Materials: Allows user to view the materials libraries.
• Add Materials: Allows user to add new materials. View Materials should be enabled prior to enabling Add Materials.
• Edit Materials: Allows user to edit the materials. View Materials should be enabled prior to enabling Edit Materials.
• Delete Materials: Allows user to delete the materials. View Materials and Edit Materials should be enabled prior to enabling Trash Materials.
• Export Materials: Allows user to export materials. View Materials should be enabled prior to enabling Export Materials.

A user with Configure System and Manage Material Libraries privileges can now create or edit existing properties of Material Libraries of type Attribute List. They can select only the Attribute Lists that are unsecured or to which they have a Group Association.
