When users are deleted in SImA - either due to deactivation in Active Directory or manual removal by a SImA administrator - they may still appear in the SImA web interface (visible to admin users only). These accounts are displayed with a modified username: "Deleted (username)"
Deleted user accounts remain available in SImA as long as they still have associated data (i.e. data owned by that user). This design ensures that any datasets or records linked to the user remain accessible for administrative purposes.
- Admin users will see these accounts
- Non-admin users will not see these accounts and cannot access any of their data
Once all associated data is removed, the user entry is automatically purged from SImA’s internal database. This may take up to 15 minutes due to caching.
