Question:
How do I request or download the MSI installer file for ChemDraw or ChemOffice?
Answer:
Since v12.0 we don’t have a separate MSI installer. In order to obtain the MSI installer, you need to extract the content of the EXE file provided for installation.
- The first option is to open the EXE file using a third party application (such as WinZIp or 7-Zip) and extract the content. The MSI installer is located under the \PerkinElmer\ChemOffice folder.
- Recent versions of ChemDraw will also provide a path to extract it when you double-click the EXE file. You can customize the path to have the content extracted somewhere else. Then just go to that custom folder and look for the \PerkinElmer\ChemOffice folder.
For version 23.0 and later, you will find four MSI installers:
Revvity_ChemDraw_Suite_23.1.1.msi = ChemDraw Suite 32-bit Admin Installer
Revvity_ChemDraw_Suite_23.1.1_NA.msi = ChemDraw Suite 32-bit Non-Admin Installer (Current user only)
Revvity_ChemDraw_Suite_23.1.1_x64.msi = ChemDraw Suite 64-bit Admin Installer
Revvity_ChemDraw_Suite_23.1.1_x64_NA.msi = ChemDraw Suite 64-bit Non- Admin Installer (Current user only)
Use the 32-bit installers if you have MS-Office 32-bit or if you need to use ChemFinder
