Problem:

I have Chem3D, and when I choose Spin about the _ axis, the rotation only occurs at x degrees. How can I get smaller degree increments?

Solution:

The degree of rotation is memory dependent. If little memory is available only a couple of views will be possible in a spin, making the degree of rotation larger than desired.

Make the model window smaller.
Mac users can allocate more memory to Chem3D. To do this, make sure Chem3D is not running, highlight the Chem3D application icon, choose Get Info from the File menu, and allocate as much preferred memory as possible.
