Changes made in the Model Display panel in the preferences are ignored.

The Kaleidoscope control panel causes this problem. We have reported several bugs in earlier versions of Kaleidoscope, but we have received no response from its developers. We cannot persue this matter without their cooperation. For now, we recommend that you disable Kaleidoscope, which you can do via the Extensions Manager control panel. If you would like to encourage the developers of Kaleidoscope to contact us, we would be happy to work with them to ensure compatibility with our software.
