Problem:

Unable to create the Reactants using CombiChem when BIOVIA and Anaconda are installed in the same device

 

Solution:

We have encountered errors with our Excel addin when BIOVIA apps are installed, BIOVIA also uses the same file format .cdx and will cause problems with our Combichem functions, the following ChemScript handlers will fail:
CambridgeSoft.ChemScript20.ReactionData.LoadData(String data)
CambridgeSoft.ChemOffice.ChemDrawExcelAddIn.CommandHandlers.

The workaround will be to uninstall BIOVIA apps and then make a clean installation of ChemDraw / ChemOffice.

Please uninstall ChemOffice from the Control Panel Apps
Scroll down to letter P and remove all the previous versions of ChemDraw / ChemOffice
Then remove the following folders:
C:\ProgramData\PerkinElmerInformatics
C:\Program Files (x86)\PerkinElmerInformatics
C:\Program Files \PerkinElmerInformatics

Open the Registry Editor of your PC (Run regedit)

Delete the following folders
32-bit OS
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\PerkinElmerInformatics\
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\PerkinElmerInformatics\

64-bit OS
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\PerkinElmerInformatics\
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\PerkinElmerInformatics\
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\PerkinElmerInformatics\
