Problem:

ChemDraw 20 crashing, unable to add letters to ChemDraw structures


Solution:

If you are unable to enter any letter in your structures and ChemDraw crashes immediately please try the following:

Launch the Event Viewer by right-clicking on "This PC" >> Manage.
Expand the Errors and check for the Apps events containing ChemDraw, if the Event ID is 1000 launch the Windows Command Prompt as Administrator and run the following scripts:
DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth
then
sfc /scannow

If the scan found corrupted system files and repaired them please restart your PC and retest ChemDraw.
