Product: ChemDraw
While trying to install ChemDraw on my Mac OSX, I got the following error. How can I fix this?
Error message: "Install ChemDraw Pro.mpkg" can't be opened because its from an unidentified developer.
Your security preferences allow installation of only apps from the Mac App Store and identified developers."
Apple has now changed the default settings to only allow download and install application from Mac App Store and identified developers. You need to change the settings. Please try the following steps to overcome this issue.
System Preferences > Security & Privacy > General > Allow applications downloaded from Anywhere
Alternatively you can try the following to avoid changing the security setting to “Anywhere”
1. Hold down "control" button
2. Click on the installer
3. Select "open" to override and install/open the application
