When ChemDraw is launched from within our RS3 registration application, atoms labeled as "X" (to indicate a halogen) are not recognized as valid. If I copy and paste from a separately launched ChemDraw, it is ok.

When ChemDraw is launched from within our RS3 registration application, atoms labeled as "X" (to indicate a halogen) are not recognized as valid. If I copy and paste from a separately launched ChemDraw, it is ok.

Accelrys is aware of this problem and has a fix for its RS3 users. Their fix requires ChemDraw 8.0.7. First, contact CambridgeSoft support for ChemDraw 8.0.7. Then, please contact Accelrys support for details:
