Unless you are using Word 97, you should not use Paste Special to put structures into the Word document in the first place. If you use Paste Special to put a structure into Word in the first place, then save as an RTF file, this problem will occur. The only way to fix the problem is to copy out of Word, paste into ChemDraw, then copy it again in ChemDraw, and do a regular Paste (NOT Paste Special) in Word.
