I just installed Windows 2000 Service Pack 3 (SP3), and now my ChemDraw Plugin does not load in Internet Explorer.

Problem:

I just installed Windows 2000 Service Pack 3 (SP3), and now my ChemDraw Plugin does not load in Internet Explorer.


Solution:

Windows 2000 SP3 apparently updates IE 5.0 users to Internet Explorer 5.0 SP3. Apparently, Microsoft has dropped support of Plugins in IE 5.0 SP3, as they have have done with IE 5.5 SP2 and above. You will now be required to use ActiveX controls with IE 5.0 SP3. The latest ChemDraw Plugin installs the Plugin and ActiveX controls depending on the browsers installed on a system.
