Problem:
When I go to open a file, the ChemDraw directory is the default directory in the Open dialog box. How do I get ChemDraw to default to a different directory (like the "My Documents" directory)?
Solution:
For Windows 95 and Windows NT 4.0, you can change the Start In directory of a Shortcut. Right click on the ChemDraw shortcut, and choose Properties. Select the Shortcut tab, and change the Start In directory to the new default location. For Windows 3.x and Windows NT 3.5.1, you can change the Working directory by clicking once on the ChemDraw program group icon. Once selected, choose Properties from the File menu, and change the Working directory to the new default location.
