Problem:
I am having a variety of problems printing. One of the symptoms is:
- No window comes up when I choose Print or Print Setup from the file menu of ChemDraw, so I can't print.
- Sometimes nothing prints unless we first call page setup every time before we print.
- Sometimes the font is not correct.
- Sometimes on multi-page printing, the second and subsequent pages print over top of each other on the first line of each page.
Solution:
Some HP DeskJet version 5 printer drivers are incompatible with some versions of Microsoft's Win32s. (Win32s is required to run 32-bit applications under Windows 3.1.x.) HP has released version 6.10, which solves the incompatibility problem. Visit Hewlett Packard's electronic support or download the HP DeskJet version 6.10 printer driver. This problem may also be solved by upgrading to the latest version of Microsoft's Win32s. If you are unable to obtain the version 6 printer driver, choose a different printer driver (preferably an Apple printer driver) to print to your printer. This can be done in the printer control panel.
