Product: ChemFinder
When I try to open a ChemFinder database that someone sent me, I get the error message:Unrecognized db format 'c:\path_to_your_database.mdb'.
Our software detects if Microsoft Access is present and if it is, which version. Once it knows the version of Access present, it sets things up (uses either the dao360.dll or dao350.dll) so that it puts the MDB files created by ChemFinder in the format that is consistent with the local copy of Access. Most likely the person who sent you the database has a newer version of Access than you. The user with the newer version of Access needs to use Access to convert the MDB file to the previous version of Access, and then send the converted file and the other three files (CFW, MSI, and MST) to you. The MDB file should have the same name as the MSI and MST files.
