Problem:
When I start a search within ChemFinder 1.0, the application does not seem to be doing anything.
Solution:
This is probably an indexing problem within ChemFinder 1.0 which occurs if you have the "Index in Background" option selected in the ChemFinder Indexing Control Panel. Basically, the Index becomes corrupted. Another symptom of index corruption occurs when you perform a search for a compound that you absolutely know is present and ChemFinder does not find it. Upgrade to the latest version of ChemOffice. For the short term, you can throw the current index in the trash and create a new one by performing a search.
