How do I transfer a ChemFinder Macintosh database to ChemFinder for Windows or vice versa?
ChemFinder Mac is currently a completely different file format than ChemFinder for Windows. The two formats are not currently compatible. To transfer files between the two programs, you must import/export as an SD File. The latest version of ChemFinder for Mac can import, but not export SD Files unless you install the Export To SD File script located in the Table Editor Extra Features folder. Please read the About Export To SD File readme that is also located in this folder to learn how to use the script. If you don't have the lastest version of ChemFinder Mac, contact technical support, to see if your version of ChemFinder will be compatible with the Export To SD File script. Please note that a Power Mac is needed in order for the script to work. Also note that ChemFinder Windows 3.x requires that the SD File contain carriage returns and line feeds before it can be imported. Contact technical support if you need assistance with this. The latest version of ChemFinder Windows does not require carriage returns and line feeds before importing.
