I am not able to open an Oracle 7 datasource in ChemFinder. I get a "Function Sequence Error" message.

Problem:

I am not able to open an Oracle 7 datasource in ChemFinder. I get a "Function Sequence Error" message.

 

Solution:

The problem is that Oracle 7 does not install compatible Microsoft ODBC 3 drivers. ODBC is used to open databases created in other applications.

You can check with Oracle to see if a more recent version of Oracle is available that will address this problem.
