I am not able to open an Oracle 7 datasource in ChemFinder. I get a "Function Sequence Error" message.

The problem is that Oracle 7 does not install compatible Microsoft ODBC 3 drivers. ODBC is used to open databases created in other applications. The name of the company that makes an Oracle 7 compatible ODBC driver is Intersolv. Intersolv is the only company we are aware of that has come up with a solution for the Oracle 7/ODBC 3 driver problem. Please note that they charge money for their product. You may also want to check with Oracle to see if a more recent version of Oracle is available that will address this problem.
