Product: Columbus
I've upgraded my Mac OS to Catalina (10.15) and now I'm unable to install the Columbus Helper App. How can I resolve this?
With the release of Mac OS 10.15.x (Catalina) Apple no longer provide support for 32 bit Applications. Any version of the Columbus Helper App up to and including 2.9.0 is a 32 bit application which means that it won't install on the newer Mac Operating System (10.15 or above).
The latest version of the Columbus Helper app available with Columbus 2.9.1 is a 64 bit app and is therefore fully supported for use on Mac OS 10.15.x (Catalina). On that basis the recommended solution is to upgrade the Columbus server to Columbus 2.9.1, download the latest version of the Columbus Helper App and then install the latest version of the Helper App on the client Mac computer.
If you are running an earlier version of Columbus (prior to Columbus 2.9.1) and you have recently upgraded your Mac OS to 10.15.x (Catalina) please contact the Informatics Support desk (signals.support@revvity.com) so that they may advise.
