- the PATH env variable includes locations for the Linux shell executables if required check with:

-
$ columbushelper --version
- Should return version specific information such as
- Columbus Helper 2.9.0.5, built on Jan 30 2019
-
$ columbushelper.sh --version
- Should not return anything, however if you encounter the error:

- You will need to install xterm. As an example to install on CentOS 6.9
- $ yum install xterm
-
$ columbushelper --version
- In the Columbus web interface go to Import to prompt the Columbus Helper Required dialog
- Download the connection file
- On first launch the browser will ask what to do with the file, typical options being open or save. Choose to open the file with the columbushelper.sh by navigating to its path.
- Select the option to do this automatically for files like this from now on. In Firefox the dialog should look as follows:
- The Helper should then launch and appear thus:
From this point downloading the connection file will launch the Columbus Helper automatically. If required further troubleshooting including the aforemetioned install steps can be found in the INSTALL file within ColumbusHelperPackage.tar.gz
