I created a Material Library but how do I add compounds to the library from an experiment?
Please go to Materials smart folder and add new Individual Compound.
To add an individual compound:
1. Click on Materials smart folder.
2. Select Compounds from the Libraries list.
3. Select Individual Compound option from the Add New dropdown list in the upper-right corner of the window. Create individual compound allows you to register one record at a time.
The Compound page appears.
4. Fill in the form, enter the compound and batch properties and use the ChemDraw drawing tools to draw the compound's structure.
5. Add Salts/ Solvates to your batch by clicking on Add Salt/ Add Solvate buttons respectively. For example to add a Salt:
Click on Add Salt button.
Select the salt code from the dropdown list. The MF, MW and Coefficient properties get automatically populated. The Coefficient is set to 1 by default, make edits if required.
The Salt Code and MF get added to the Batch Chemical Name and Batch Molecular Formula respectively and the Formula Mass gets updated as well.
6. Click on Register Compound button. You should provide a value for all the mandatory fields that are marked with a red asterisk. The compound is registered and the following page appears:
In the guide scroll down for "Referencing an Experiment" chapter which explains how to add Originating Experiment to a batch.
To reference an entity in the batch row:
1. Select Edit Batch option from the Actions menu in the upper-right corner of the compound's page. The batch row(s) under Batch tab becomes editable.
2. Under Originating Experiment column, click on the search icon, the Select something to reference page appears.
3. Use the search filter fields to look for the entity that you want to add as a reference. The matching results appear.
4. Select the entity that you want to reference. The entity's reference gets added as shown below:
5. Click on the entity's name to browse to it.
