Running the TIBCO Spotfire Configuration tool on a local computer may fail with "A JNI error has occurred, please check your installation and try again" error.
You may run into following error while running uiconfig.bat script locally:

The error clearly states that spotfireconfigtool.jar was compiled at a higher version of Java ( JDK 11) than the version with which you tried to run it.More specifically, in this case, you tried to run it with Java 8 which will definitely fail.
To resolve, uninstall 1.8 version that is currently installed on your local computer and download JDK 11 from the Oracle and run the jar file.
