Problem:

How to force Spotfire Analyst to show login dialog


Solution:

How you can force TIBCO Spotfire Analyst to display the login dialog. You can select which server to connect to from the login dialog. If this dialog is not displayed when you start TIBCO Spotfire Analyst then use any one of the below mentioned methods to force Spotfire Analyst to show login dialog.

Option 1

  • Go to Windows Start Menu>>TIBCO >>TIBCO Spotfire Analyst (Show login dialog) OR
  • Go to Windows Start menu and search for TIBCO Spotfire Analyst(Show login dialog)

Option 2 via command line
  • Open the Command Prompt, and execute Spotfire.Dxp.exe with the argument /forceShowLoginDialog.

Example:

  • C:\Program Files (x86)\TIBCO\Spotfire\7.6.0>Spotfire.dxp.exe /forceShowLoginDialog

  • start "" /B "C:\Program Files (x86)\TIBCO\Spotfire\7.6.0\Spotfire.dxp.exe" /forceShowLoginDialog

Note :The above file location is default Analyst file install location and will vary for portable client .
