Problem:
SAS data source connection fails after the password is reset.
Solution:
When SAS password is reset and you try connecting to SAS from Spotfire > Information Designer , it may throw the the following error:

Failed to initialize connection pool: Sharenet.S58.ex.txt: Sharenet.S276.ex.txt: Userid/Password not accepted by server.. (HRESULT: 80131500)
===========
SAS instance must be restarted after the password update for the JDBC connection to work.
