Problem:

Custom queries with spatial data


Solution:

Starting with Spotfire 7.14 we added the ability to read spatial data for map charts from Oracle, MSSQL and PostgreSQL (PostGIS) using existing connectors.  Customers can write custom queries to access their data in Oracle and MSSQL, but configuration issues in PostgreSQL prevent this from being an option. Customers will need to write the custom queries directly in PostGIS and access them with the connector, instead of modifying the connector query.
