Upgrade of TIBCO Spotfire Server is successful but the server will not start

Upgrade of TIBCO Spotfire Server is successful but the server will not start

After upgrading the TIBCO Spotfire Server, the upgrade.log file will indicate the upgrade was successful. But when you start the TIBCO Spotfire Server service, it will not start. In the server's catalina.log the following message is seen:

  To resolve this issue, back up the existing bootstrap.xml file and then create a new bootstrap using the TIBCO Spotfire Server Configuration Tool. Doc: Creating the bootstrap.xml file
