Problem:

Installed TIBCO Spotfire desktop client crashes on column name change with linked data


Solution:

If [columnA] is involved in a pivot transformation and the underlying data table is linked to source, the remaining [columnA] in the underlying data table may result in a client crash. This is a known defect that has been fixed. To resolve the issue, apply the following hotfixes applicable to the version you are running:

  • TS 7.6.1.7 HF-012 or higher
  • TS 7.7.1.8 HF-003 or higher
  • TS 7.8.0.21 HF-001 or higher
