Problem:

Error: "This installation package is not supported by this processor type. Contact your product vendor."


Solution:


Versions:7.0 and later

The above error message means that the installer package that is used to install the product is not compatible with the current hardware or processor type.This error occurs while installing Spotfire Professional Analyst/Client (version 7.0 and later) on a 32-bit version of Windows. See attached (Filename: Error.PNG).

Resolution

For a successful installation, you must have a 64-bit processor and a 64-bit OS.
