Description:

In a TIBCO Spotfire server with LDAP authentication, once a user is authenticated with Active Directory (LDAP), the Spotfire server closes the connection with the LDAP server. However, this LDAP connection does not close even after user or group synchronization.

Symptoms:

In a TIBCO Spotfire server with LDAP authentication, when a user is authenticated with Active Directory (LDAP), the Spotfire server closes the connection with the LDAP server after authentication. You can see the log entry "LDAP connection is closed" in the Spotfire Server DEBUG logs. However this LDAP connection is not closed after user or group synchronization.

Cause: It's a known issue.

Resolution:

The issue is addressed in hotfix "TSS_6.5.4 HF-010 and TSS_7.0.1 HF-004" for TIBCO Spotfire Server 6.5 and 7.0 respectively. Apply the hotfix.
