Problem:

Is there a way to prevent the creation of ChemDraw Desktop shortcut ?


Solution:

The ChemDraw desktop shortcut cannot be prevented from being created as it is created within the ChemDraw installer. However, if you are using an admin script to install (that is a script which is run with "Admin" rights) then you can remove the shortcut after the installer has run within that script by adding a "del" command as below: For v19.0: del "C:\Users\Public\Desktop\ChemDraw 19.0.lnk" For v19.1: del "C:\Users\Public\Desktop\ChemDraw 19.1.lnk" General: del "C:\Users\Public\Desktop\ChemDraw *.lnk"
