Problem:

How can I open multiple ChemDraw documents in separate ChemDraw Windows instead of single ChemDraw Window?


Solution:

You need to open the ChemDraw application (required number of times) from the Start menu and then open the ChemDraw document from the File menu from each ChemDraw Window instead of double-clicking the ChemDraw documents.

For example, if you want to open two documents in two separate ChemDraw Window

1. Open ChemDraw application from the Start menu (Click the Windows Start button then Browse to ChemDraw Professional/Prime (present under ChemOffice20XX), select and open) and then open the first ChemDraw document through the File menu.
2. Then open ChemDraw application from the Start menu and open the second document from the file menu.
